Alidia closed her eyes and they went back in time. She was Lilly Zemrr. Servant of the Oliver Oli merchants. She was sicken how they treated her so she decided to runway. She didnt wanna be noticed so she made herself have black green eyes and rich silk. She stole things never to be caught,

Nicodemus was a man who was very fair for someone in his position. As a government official, he strove to do the right thing. He had heard of a string of robberies that no one could solve and he was hoping to be the one to figure it out.

Lilly was ready for the biggest steal of her life: a diamond ring...
She smiled as she started a talk with the woman. And asked that she would clear ring and thats when she went running and she went to her hiding place. Making sure no one was following her

A loud scream attracted a lot of attention. Nicodemus was among them. He overheard how a woman had lost a ring she was wearing. The thief couldn't have made it too far from the area. He started looking for them right away.

Lilly laughed. "This is fun...no one caught me yet..." she put on the ring and howd it glittered. Lilly decided to rest.

It didn't take very long for Nicodemus to find a place were a thief might have hid. He observed a woman taking a rest outside. Cautiously, he walked up to her to question her.
"Excuse me, have you seen anyone who looks like they might have stolen something?" he asked her.

Lilly woke up and saw a government official. Gods dammit she thought and quickly put the ring under her pillow. "Ummm No....but I have stuff missing too..." Wow hes so Hades smoking hot she thought.

"Do you? Perhaps you might come with me to explain what is missing and how you lost them." Nicodemus suggested. The quick motion of her hand under her pillow was not lost on him. If this woman knew more than she was telling, he might be able to catch her in a lie.

Lilly nodded. "Yes I have lost my dignity, identity and other odds and ends. I had these things when I was young and when the "Great Caesar" changed the laws we women who wont high enough for standers were forced in slavery...now tell me good Official how can that be a service?"

"Well, I think it proves what I think of our Roman emperor. I sometimes think it's only a matter of time before he's murdered." Nicodemus replied, not a trace of humor to be heard.

Lilly began feeling her guilt building. She grabbed the ring from under her pillow. "Here and if you must know I'm a runway...of Ollies Oli...you can take me..." she held out her hands.

"A runaway? What did you run away for?" Nicodemus asked, his voice kind.

Lilly took a deep inhale then took off her toga. Showed him the scars and burns. "They used to beat me and whip me cause of my smarts and they used to rape me...every night cause of my ideas...but regardless I am runway and a robber. Arrest me officer....I deserve it..."

Nicodemus gave her assessing look. It was clear this woman was willing to pay for her crimes, but he didn't think it would be best served in prison. That would be harsh for her.
"Miss, I won't deny that you do need to serve a sentence. But I think a smart woman like you would waste your intelligence locked up. I would like to make you an offer." he began.

Lilly was shocked. "Y...you don't wanna arrest me?" Lilly put her toga back on. "I'm Lilly and what's the offer?"

"It's nice to meet you, Lilly. I am Nicodemus. And my offer is that you assist me in helping to solve other crimes or settle disputes in the city. We will continue this until we both fell that you've paid your debt to society." Nicodemus answered her.

" Nicodemus ..." Lilly thought to herself "Super Hades hot name...okay focus.." Lilly nodded. "Mr Nicodemus I will be honored to be a service...but I have to be undercover...okay..." Lilly held out her hand.

"Very well. We can do that. As long as you don't take things that don't belong to you." Nicodemus warned her as he offered to escort her back. He still needed to return the ring.

Lilly handed the ring back to Nicodemus. "Ummm...Nicodemus since I live here in this dump...is it okay if I live with you...I'll cook clean and everything. Plus there's another rule: I can't fall in love cause that will cause karma." Though Lilly did like him; god-made and hades hot.

"You are welcome to live with me. It means I can make sure you follow the terms of our deal. As for that other condition, that is entirely up to you. Though I should tell you that people can't help who they fall in love with." Nicodemus told her.

Lilly looked at Nicodemus. She did have feelings for him but she shook them off. Work before pleasure. She was like a bounty hunter now. "Whos first on the list?"

"Well, we do need to settle a dispute over a child. Two women came in a while ago, both claiming that a baby was theirs. It's up to me to decide which of them is the child's real mother and I want you to come along for this." Nicodemus explained.

Lilly quickly put her hair in a what she called a ponytail and put a lilly in it. "Guide the way Nicodemus ..." she was well hidden she was the master of disguises.

"Follow me. They should be waiting outside the city for me to see them." Nicodemus replied. He led her out to the designated spot, ready to handle a problem.
