Noel fluttered her emerald green eyes opened and saw Blake behind her sleeping. She smiled as she kissed his lips. "My beloved firebird prince how I love you so..." she whispered in his ear. She wrapped his arm around her as she slept.

Blake felt Noel wrap his arm around her.  A smile spread across his face.  He snuggled closer to her, loving having her in his arms like this.

Noel smiled as she began to dream. Then she began sleeptalking. "Oh Blake...sweet Blake how do these roses smell...they smell so good..." she imagined she picked one and smelled it. "Ohhh Blake how they smell so sweet."

Blake wanted to laugh as he shook his head.  He didn't know Noel talked in her sleep, and about such adorable things too.  She was so wonderful to be around.

Noel smiled as she woke and saw Blake sleeping. Then she knew he'd must be hungry. She giggled as she walked in the kitchen make some food and some tea as she placed it all in a dining tray and served it to him. She kissed his lips. "My beloved Blake awake my firebird for I have made you something to eat & tea."

Blake opened his eyes.  He smiled as his eyes focused on her face.  Slowly, he pushed himself into a sitting position.
"That's very nice of you, my dear." he said, sleepily.

Noel smiled as she caressed his cheeks. "Anything for my beloved...I hope you slept well and you're feeling better cause you were distraught...but if you still don't wanna talk about it that's okay." Noel smiled as she popped a blueberry in her mouth. "just know I'll always love you..."

"Thank you, darling.  That means a great deal to me.  And I'll always love you." Blake told her.  He took a minute to give her a hug.

Noel smiled at her beloved's hug. She sighed a sigh of relief as she snuggled close to his heart. "Your heart is like a celebration dream of warrior coming home and thy love is endless like a river nonstop..."

"That was...strangely poetic, darling.  I didn't think you were that kind of girl.  Where did that come from?" Blake asked, looking down at her.

Noel smiled as she locked her emerald eyes into his earthy colored eyes "it just came to me when I was listening to your heartbeat with mine...and it's how I feel when I'm around you my firebird...I can't wait to start a family with the man I love..."

"Right.  A family.  Wouldn't that be wonderful?" Blake mumbled, remembering what he had learned from that blasted book.  It was enough to kill his happy mood from waking up to Noel that morning.

Noel noticed the change of heart of her beloved. Didn't he want to start a family with her? She started to tear up as she ran out of the room and into a door that just appeared. She opened it; it closed by itself and disappeared. She sat on a chair. She cried. "What did I do wrong?" she wondered.

Blake was now starting to think he shouldn't be keeping this to himself.  He had seen that Noel was one of those sensitive girls, and her running away from him when he got gloomy only confirmed it.  The frustration was enough to finally make him cry; he was just tired of having to be strong all the time, because he couldn't be, not anymore.
"Why?  Why should we have to die and our child live without us?  Why did they keep this from me?" the Firebird's Child wept, hating this whole situation.  It wasn't fair for their child to grow up without his mother and father.  That was how troubled children started.

Noel sniffled as she got up from the chair she was sitting and looked at the mirror. She placed her hand on it feeling the cold glass as she looked at her refection. She saw a young woman who fell in love and she was by herself. "Whats the matter with me? Doesn't Blake know I'll love him forever?" Noel asked herself. "Am I just a nobody? Maybe I am..." she looked around the room and she smiled a bit as she saw a vile of a potion. "I said I'd protect him...and if that means protecting him from me so be it..." she slowly brought the vile to her lips.

"NO!" Blake shouted.  He had come to find Noel, wanting to explain himself to her.  When he saw her about to swallow poison, he snapped.  He smacked the vial out of her hands before she could swallow any of it, falling at her feet in his emotional fragility.
"I can't let you go.  I can't." he cried.  At that moment, his father had come to find them, having sensed his son's turmoil.  But the young man turned his hurt feelings on his father.
"How could you?  How could you hide this from me?  I find the love of my life, who happens to be the girl in the portrait I always asked about, only to learn from some stupid book that I will lose her to childbirth and die myself soon after from a broken heart!  How could you not tell us that our child would grow up without their parents!" Unable to stand the pain anymore, he broke down and wept in front of his wife and father.

Noel gasped. "That's why..." She knelt down and hugged her beloved. "...that's why you were so stonehearted..." she kissed his lips. "My Blake...we must find something...I...I.." she broke down crying with him. Her heart then started to freeze again as she felt his anger sadness and his broken heart. She grimaced in pain as she grabbed her chest. "Ahh...Blake...it hurts...my heart..." she held herself close to him.

Blake did his best to quiet the ache in his heart.  His tears still fell, but he let them.  Keeping his inner pain to himself was what started this.  He gently hugged Noel to him, letting her feel the warmth in his heart for her.
"I hope so, my love.  I hope we can find a way around this, because I'm not strong enough to go through losing you a third time.  I can't do that anymore." he confessed, holding her like he would never let go.

Noel's heart was slowing coming back together. "I...I love you my beloved Blake the firebird who saved me...I just feel like that if this does happened that everything will fall apart...but I remember growing up looking at spell and potion books that theres no such thing as a death stopper..." she started to cry again. "I don't wanna leave you..." she nestled her head on his chest.

"I know you don't want to, and I love you too much to let you go if you were to die.  And I was thinking of the child too.  For a child to grow up without their parents isn't fair to them.  That's what made me so upset about all this." Blake explained, kissing her head.

Noel looked at her beloved with her tear-fueled emerald eyes. "I'm so scared..." she then looked at her father in law. "Please your grace no more lies or bullocks...we need to rewrite our fate...please tell us what we need to do before it's too late..." her heart started to feel Blake's pain again. She kneeled farther on the ground groaning in pain. "Please..." she begged. "Blake it's happening again...the pa--" before she could finish her body started to shut down.

"Noel!  Darling, please don't give up.  I won't leave you." Blake said as he frantically held onto her.
"There just might be hope to save you both.  Fire and ice together create water when placed in the some environment.  If you can mix your powers to purify a badly tainted spring on the grounds, and drink from its waters, you two can change your fate." his father told them, hopefully.

Noel groaned in pain as she made an ice crystal bowl appear. "Too weak but have to try..." she said determine. She reached out her hand and her ice power began to fill the bowl. When she was done and waited for Blake's power her body gave out completely. "Feel so weak..." she muttered before her eyes closed.

Blake quickly created a burst of flame and mixed it with the ice she created.  The two components became a pure clean water.  It was clear they had done it, and joy filled the young man's heart.  He took a drink first and helped Noel drink as well.  The Firebird's Child could tell his father was truthful about this plan, and he was certain that he and his love would be okay now.

Noel felt the water going down her throat. She started feeling good. She fluttered her eyes open as she caressed Blake's cheeks. She giggled as she kissed Blake passionately. Then she looked at her fatherinlaw. "Your grace please be truthful...why did you not tell Blake about me?"
