The Happy Couple (Tag: Alidia and Rahim) rated M

(OOC: The idea is that a land has a prophecy that someone with a cold heart will encase the kingdom in permanent winter.  When it's discovery this girl has power over ice and snow, they believe she is the one and shun her.  But when a visiting young dignitary, who happens to be the famed Firebird's Child, meets her, they prove that she is not.)

"I suppose it's alright.  As long as it's safe to ride." Maksim said.  Something about Princess Anne made him feel comfortable.  So he was willing to ride with her.

Alison showed Maksim the real world. She grabbed another apple and rolled off her shoulder with a flower. She smiled as they landed somewhere in China. They watched the fireworks. "I hope this opened your eyes my prince..." she said softly as she placed her head on his shoulder.

"It's all...magnificent.  Thank you for this, Princess Anne.  All this time, I wondered if I was falling in love with the girl I met, but you are enough like her that I could give my heart to you with little effort.  You've made me well again." Maksim whispered to her.

That was a stab in Alison's heart in a way. Her beloved prince was in love with the real her but now he was in love with Anne from Ozland. Oh how she wish she could tell him. Then it was time to bring him back home. She made sure he stepped of the carpet safely. She looked at him. "Good night my prince..." and then there a pause and then carpet pushed her into his lips. She softly moaned as they kissed and then landed on the grass to find out she was attacked but the royal visor to be thrown in the sea.

Maksim returned to his room, looking much renewed.  Sergei noticed the change in his master right away.  The wolf dog was glad when the prince played with him for a few minutes before he started getting ready for bed.
"My dear friend, I don't know if you can hear me wherever you are, but I hope you do.  You gave me hope that the right girl for me is out there, and she has come.  I thank you for finding me that day." the prince said in a prayer.  Perhaps one day, he might find that girl again and finally reward her for everything she'd done for him.

Alison began to lose air. She was chained. And began to fade away. Then the genie looked at the young girl and wanted to save her but she had to wish it. He looked at her. "Come on Ali...wish for freedom..." But Ali was doing was making smaller air bubbles. Then the genie took that has a second wish. She coughed and thought how she was almost killed by her beloved's most 'trusted' man. She had to tell him. She flew back and saw him sleeping. She sighed as she shook him. "My Maksim please awake..." unaware to her she was using her voice that she used when they met.

A voice called to the prince.  It sounded too real.  Slowly, Maksim woke up from his sleep.  The first thing he noticed was that his princess was there.
"Anne?  It's late, why are you-Wait a minute, you're soaking wet.  What happened?" he asked, confused.

She told him what happened to her. Well almost everything but then the royal visior showed up. He smiled evilly. She felt scared but she knew to guard and protect her beloved. She looked him. "If you want a fight well you got one..." then with a second; he pointed his staff at her and made her go in a hourglass that was filling up fast. "Maksim help me...." she cried out in her normal streetmouse voice.

"You cruel, heartless man.  I knew I didn't like you!" Maksim exclaimed.  He rushed towards the traitor.  The vizier tried to blast him, but the prince slid across the floor and snatched the staff.  Then, he used it to smash the hourglass and release his beloved, breaking the staff in the process.

The royal visior vanished without a trace never to return. Alison weakly looked at her beloved prince Maksim. She weakly smiled as she caressed his cheeks. "There's something I need to told you...I'm not Princess Anne of Ozland but I'm just Alison the streetmouse who saved your life..."

The prince looked at her, trying to absorb this information.  He should have been angry, but instead he was...overjoyed.  Slowly, he started to smile.
"I knew deep inside I would find you.  I've been wanting to tell you how I felt.  I fell in love with you, not a commoner or a princess.  But how did you do all of this, become a princess?" Maksim babbled, trying to contain his joy.

Alison smiled as she placed a finger on his lips. "Shhh honey one answer at a time..." she giggled as she pulled out the magic lamp and told him everything. Then she felt her heartbeat beating louder at what he said to her. She wrapped him in a loving embrace. "I love you too Prince Maksim."

"I'm so glad to hear you say that.  My love, we can do something about this.  When people are supposed to be together, they find a way." Maksim assured her.

Alison smiled. "I agree my beloved prince Maksim. Maybe your father could see our love for eachother and lift the marriage law. Cause I feel incomplete without you." Alison caressed his cheek.

"Well, I don't know if he can lift the law.  But he certainly can change it.  I mean, he is the king here, isn't he?" Maksim said with a laugh.

Alison giggled "That's what I meant. But Maksim what if he doesn't like me? After all I'm a streetmouse..."

"I'm sure my father will like you if we tell him about how we met and everything.  He's a fairly reasonable man.  Besides, from what I understand, my father used to be a bigger troublemaker as a prince than I was being when I snuck out." Maksim assured her.

Alison smiled and giggled as they walked in the throne room and there he stood the King. She bowed at his feet. "Your Highness..." she started to say. And then she gasped at the sight of the captain of the guards. He grabbed her cause when she confessed who she was her clothes were back to rags. She was her old self back. She screamed as she was grabbed. "Please let me go... Maksim help..."

"I believe I asked you twice now to release her so that I may reward her.  And don't bother with the vizier's wishes; he is a traitor and has been dealt with accordingly.  If I must repeat myself a third time, there will be consequences." Maksim ordered.  When she was released, the prince explained to his father how he and Alison met and the events with 'Princess Anne' and so on.

Alison bowed at her beloved's father's feet. "Please your grace I love Maksim with all my heart mind and soul. I feel so complete with him near. He's my soulmate." Maksim's father moved from his seat and motioned Maksim to have a talk about how much he loved her.

"Do you really love this girl, my son?" King Alfred asked him.
"Yes, father.  More than I've ever loved anything.  You remember when I was being so reclusive and starting to look sickly?  That was because I didn't know what had happened to her when I found she wasn't in the dungeon.  Seeing her again has given me new life." Maksim answered.

Alison watched the father and son talk. She was nervous and then she heard whispers between the cup barriers. They were planning to kill the king and her beloved. She saw the two golden goblets and she knew that she needed to save them so she drank them. She collapsed gasping for air. With this posion there was no known antidote. "I love you..." she said gasping for air. "Long live the king and my beloved."

King Alfred was the first to see what was happening.  He and Maksim rushed to her.  When they  saw the two cups in her hands, they both knew she'd swallowed poison meant for someone else.  The prince remembered the genie Alison had told him of and summoned it.  He used his first wish to remove the poison from his beloved's body, and his second wish to set the genie free.
"After everything you've done to bring us together, you deserve your freedom." he said to the genie.

Alison gasped a huge inhale of air as the poison was gone. She smiled as she wrapped herself around Maksim. "I thought I'd lose you but I had to have your father and you cause you mean a lot to this kingdom." Then she saw the genie freed. She giggled as she hugged him. "Thank you my friend without you my beloved and I won't be here..." Alison then looked at King Alfred and bowed at his feet again. "My Lord I apologize...I was being selfish..."

"Nonsense.  You saved both our lives.  A lady like you would make a fine queen.  It's that law that's the problem.  Well, am I King or am I King?  From this day forward, the royal heir shall marry whoever they please and whoever pleases them." King Alfred announced.  His son immediately embraced his love.
"I've already made my choice." Maksim stated, certainly.
