She squealed with delight as she sat on his lap. "Oh... I can't wait..."

"I can see that.  It'll be a night to remember." Winston replied.  It felt nice to have her sit on his lap like this.  I made him feel like everything was going to be perfect.

She loved being on his lap like this. She undid her hair and kissed his lips passionately. "....Winston..." she moaned as she ran her hands on his chest. "....I love you."

"I love you too, Joyce.  So very much." Winston replied.  His hands wove into her hair as he held onto her.

"Come and get me Winston..." Joyce laughed as she jumped down and ran upstairs.

"Oh, I'll get you alright.  Just wait and see." Winston called after her.  He got up and chased her to the second floor.

Joyce smiled as she hid in the closet upstairs and got quiet.

"Now let's see.  Where would I hide up here?" Winston asked himself.  He checked the bathroom and under the bed.  Then, he looked over at the closet.
"Of course.  They always chose the closet." he thought out loud.  Then, he got up and began to open the door.

Joyce kept quiet as she hid herself in coats in the corner.

"What could be behind curtain number one?" Winston teased.  His hands ran through the coats, searching for something that didn't belong.  It would be sooner than later that he discovered her.

Joyce couldn't take it anymore. She jumped in his arms. "...Winston!!!"

"I knew it.  I knew you were in there." Winston said as he caught her.  Her twirled her around in their enjoyment of the moment.

She squealed and giggled as she ran to change her clothes.

Winston decided to get dressed too.  He was moving with a slow pace.  Knowing that they had to check on Jacob, he decided to take things easy on himself.

Joyce smiled as she put her black blouse and jeans on with her hair in a ponytail. She turned around. "What do you think?"

"You look great to me." Winston answered.  He had dressed in the same hoodie, but with a white shirt and tan jeans.  He tied his shoes securely before getting to his feet.

She blushed. "Thanks." She put on her black flats on as she grabbed the picnic basket for Jacob.

"Come on.  Let's go see our little friend." Winston said, excitedly and linking his arm with hers.

Joyce giggled as they went to the tunnels. "Jacob?! Honey?! Where--" Then she gasped when she saw a person who looked like Winston but he didn't. "Who are you? And where's Jacob?"

"Uncle Nick?  What are you doing here?  Where is the newborn?" Winston asked when he recognized the man.
"You knew about it, Winston?  Why didn't you tell me about it?" Nick asked, incredulously.
"Because he wasn't hurting anyone.  He thinks Joyce and I are his parents.  We were the first thing he saw when he hatched and he's perfectly tame." Winston explained to his uncle.
"It has?  Now I feel bad for scaring the little one." Dr. Tatapoulos responded.  A sound from nearby got everyone's attention.  Little Jacob was cowering in one corner, but soon recovering his sweet disposition at the sound of Winston's voice.

Joyce ran to Jacob but she was held by Winton's uncle. "Let me go!" she screamed

Winston decided to handle this himself.  He wove around his uncle and went to Jacob.  The small mutant lizard looked happy to see him and nuzzled the hand that the boy held out to him.
"See, Uncle.  He won't hurt us.  He's not like his father." he explained.

Joyce smiled as she watched her beloved and her Jacob. But Nick held on to her. She tried wiggling out but he keep his grip. "Winston... Jacob...." Then the ground began to shake. "What's going on here?"

What was going on indeed.  Winston clutched onto Jacob, who ushered Joyce and Nick to get away from the shaky floor.  They started heading back out the way Winston and Joyce had come.

Joyce let Nick go and then when she began to cross the floor began to cave in. "Winston!!" Joyce screamed. "I'm scared!!" She held on to a rock.
