Flo gasped as she saw her beloved without his mask. "You're so handsome ..." she smiled as she kissed his lips. She brushed aside some hair as they kissed. She softly moaned as she laid on the grass with him on top of her. His beautiful eyes locking in her glossy blue eyes. She touched his cheeks. "My Desmond..."

"I thank you for saying so, my love.  Because I would like to be handsome for a beautiful lady like you." Desmond murmured in a husky voice.  Just then, his train rose in full display behind him.  The ribbons still tied in his train created the illusion of dancing flames on his plumage as they fluttered.

"I secretly knew you were a romantic..." Flo giggled as she watched in awe and wonder of her lover's train. Her white wings like snowflakes covered his wings so perfectly. "My love...I vow to make sure you're safe..." she touched his cheeks. "and a kiss will seal my vow..." with that she kissed his lips

"Shouldn't I be the one making that promise?  And don't you worry.  No one will take me from you, just as no one will take you from me." Desmond replied.  Even so, he couldn't resist giving her another kiss.

Flo smiled as they kissed. "Ohhh beloved Desmond...I know the night is almost ending and we have another gig tomorrow so allow me to sleep on your chest..." she placed her platinum blonde hair in a ponytail and placed her head on his chest.

"Of course.  I don't feel like getting up and walking back right now anyway.  So let's just sleep here together." Desmond replied as he lay down beside her.  He helped her curl up next to him and closed his eyes, using his impressive tail feathers as a blanket for her.

As Desmond covered her up with his feathered tail she covered him up with her feathers. As they slept she kept having these dreams of an island. There were people and animals happy together living in harmony and then a dark presence came taking over the once happy island and imprisoning the once happy citizens. She started to whimper in her sleep.

Subconsciously, Desmond wrapped his wings around her.  He smiled in his sleep as he cuddled into Flo.  Knowing he had the woman he loved close, in his grasp, made him very content.

Flo smiled as she felt her beloved Desmond's embrace on her. She nestled herself closer. "My beloved peacock..." she muttered in her sleep. Unaware to them that Dr Shadow was watching them and he was in on the plan of the island. He would trade Flo off and Desmond would be heartbroken. He chuckled evilly and softly as he went to the circus site.

When he woke, Desmond was not surprised to find himself awake first.  He was normally up with the sun.  He reached for his mask and placed it on his face again.  Then, the Charcoal peacock tried to rouse Flo.
"Dear, wake up.  We need to get ready to go." he said.

Flo smiled as she yawned. "Oh excuse me..." she giggled as she streached her wings out. She kissed her beloved before he put on his mask and caressed his feathered cheeks. "My love..." she smiled as she got up. She held out her feathered hand. "Ready?"

"Yes, I'm ready.  Let's head back." Desmond said as he got to his feet.  His feathers interlocked with hers as he walked with her.

When they got there everything was packed. "Woah..." Flo smiled and then looked at Desmond. "I'm gonna ride with you when we go to this island." As they rode the train. Flo decided to make Desmond some food. She squealed with delight as she saw the ingredients she needed. She started making him some yummy apple dumplings.

As he waited for Flo to come back, Desmond had the idea to ask for drinks.  The attendant suggested two mugs of butter bear.  It was a nonalcoholic beverage and it tasted of a creamy cider with a citrus flavored foam.  The peacock believed his beloved might enjoy it.

As she came back from the kitchen cab and into her beloved's cab she smiled. He knew how to make a room brighter with his smile and kindness. She placed the tray down. "Surprise made some homemade apple dumplings." She handed one to him. "Careful they are still a little hot from the oven." Then as the train was going it went over some major bumps that made her in his arms. Her glossy blue eyes sparkling as she locked eyes with him. She began to slowly take off his mask.

"Why thank you.  How did you know apple pastries were my favorite kind of dessert?  But anyway, I just got drinks for us to enjoy.  Butter beer, and don't let the word 'beer' fool you; there is nothing remotely like beer in this drink." Desmond told her.

Flo smiled as she raised her glass. "To true love and finding eachother when we did..." she drank the butterbeer down and smiled as she took a dumpling and placed it her beloved's mouth. "I just guessed cause I like apple dumplings too."

Desmond enjoyed the taste of the dumplings inside his mouth.  He hummed in delight.  Taking a drink to clear his throat, he thought he'd tell her of other apple desserts she might like.
"You know, there are other things you might like that involve apples.  Apple pie, apple fritters, apple strudel.  I myself have always wanted to try something called Apple brown betty." he admitted.

Flo smiled as her beloved loved her dumplings. "I never heard of that treat." Then the train went over huge bump and they flew and then landed on top of eachother. She giggled and blushed as she pulled the mask off but only to show his beck. She kissed him and softly moaned. "Desmond..."

"Yes, Flo?  Was there something you wanted to say?" Desmond asked.  He stole another kiss from her.  There wasn't much else he could do.  She was on top of him.

Flo smiled sheepishly and started to say something but another bump made it impossible. Now he was on top of her. "When we are done with this tour would you be mine?" she said. Unaware to them that at the island would be their last meeting.

"I would be glad to.  I love you, Flo." Desmond replied.  His flight feathers brushed her hair out of her face.

Flo smiled as he said yes. "As I love you Desmond..." Flo blushed as he brushed her hair aside. They had a couple hours to kill until they reached the island.

"My sweet Flo.  Know that I'll always love you.  Always." Desmond assured her as he caressed her face.  His violet gold eyes held her gaze with a sweet tenderness.

Flo's blush got redder. "My beloved Desmond. How your eyes make me feel lost in your loving gaze. And I remember when you first came to try out for our circus. Do you? I was so shy to talk you. And I feel in love with you then." She locked her eyes with his and kissed him again passionately.
