The Happy Couple (Tag: Alidia and Rahim) rated M

Mashay moaned louder his name and then sighed with a passionately release. She looked him with her topaz sparkling blue eyes. She kissed him. "I love you so much my beloved. And I see your payback from the cake was worth it..." she giggled as she snuggled close to him as she began to fall asleep. She decided when morning came she'd go to the forest and get some flowers for him. Unaware to them that Mashay's life only had hours.

Renard was practically exhausted.  But he had enough energy to answer her.  He gave her a kiss on her head.
"It was.  And I love you so much, Mon ange." he whispered.  And then, just like that, he closed his eyes and fell into a peaceful sleep.

After a couple hours of sleep, Mashay decided to pick some flowers for her beloved. She didn't leave a note cause it was going to be a surprise. She smiled as she kissed his head. "I love you..." also she put her topaz necklace around his neck as she shifted and began flying to the prefect field and she found it. She landed and shift back to being human. She never saw the dagger coming. "No more you...means no more peace...and that means no more Mixies...." These were the last words she heard as she was dead at flowery field holding the flowers she was going to give her beloved.

When Renard woke up, he had a vague sense that something was wrong.  He noticed Mashay's necklace around his neck and his feeling of dread grew.  He went looking for her...and was heartbroken when he discovered what happened.  He brought her body back for a proper funeral.  He promised his dead bride that he would keep the peace alive between their races.  Unfortunately, this turned out to be a promise that would destroy him.
Without Mashay to be the light in his life, Renard slowly but surely started to waste away.  He stopped doing many of the things he found joy in.  He didn't socialize at school, and gave every other girl who tried to get his attention the cold shoulder.  One day, he fell asleep listening to the very song they danced to and didn't wake up the next morning.  But his goal of keeping the peace alive was a success in the end.  That was the only bright side of things.

Mashay looked at her beloved when they were together in their private cloud. She smiled. "Renard..." she flew to him and kissed him. But it was a dream. Mashay wished that she could do something. Before he would wake up. She kissed him and say "I love you only you my raven prince..."

When Renard's mother came to wake him the next morning, it was already too late.  Nothing she did could bring him around.  The sight of tear tracks on his face gave her the idea that he had cried heavily before he gave up his fight to live.  She cried for her husband when she knew without a doubt that their son was dead.

Mashay smiled as she saw her beloved. She wrapped him in a lovely embrace. "Welcome home love..."

Alidia felt the pain and agony. Her heart began aching until the dream changed. She was an explorer looking for artifacts. Her name was Raf short for Rafina and she was in South America.

When Rahim felt the dream change this time, the first thing he noticed was that it was hot.  It was likely that he was in South America.  He was high up in the Andes Mountains, the location of the Incan cities of Cuzco and Macchu Picchu.  Even though it was a surprise, he did not look shocked to see himself in the body of a Quetzalcoatl, otherwise known as the feathered or plumed serpent of Latin American myth.  It was a sixty foot long snake with feathered wings and a mop of wild dark hair on its head.  The feeling that this was not his rightful body reminded him of what was happening here and that his name was Fernando.

Raf wasnt sure what she was looking for but when she went in the temple of Quetzalcoatl and looked at the hieroglyphics. She saw the one of the Incan god and smiled. "Youre look marvelous but why do people say youre hideous..." she looked closer at the painting and it was like a button. She pushed it and a trapdoor opened and lead her to a secret room. She screamed as she saw scorpions and snakes. She made her black hair in a pun underneath her hat. "Help!! Somebody..." Nobody answered or so she thought.

Fernando felt what happened at the temple through the vibrations in the ground.  One of the benefits of having a snake's body.  Instantly, he rushed back to find someone, a female perhaps, stuck in a trap.
"I'll get you out!" he called to her.  He lowered his tail down and wrapped it around her waist.  Carefully, he began to pull her up and out of the trap she'd gotten herself into.

Raf was shocked. She was being lifted in the air by a snake tail. When she was back in the temple. She looked around for her hero but didnt see him. She ran to Louis, her Spanish partner and asked him what happened. And he pointed to Fernando. "No way...he's stone..." Raf said. Louis laugh "You must've awaken him then cause he was stone for muy years." Raf looked at him. "Thank you..." she mouthed as she returned to camp. Hes so handsome and beautiful she thought.

Fernando watched as the girl he saved headed back to her base camp.  Now that he had gotten a better look at her, he found that she was quite attractive.  Curiously, he hoped that she would come back.  Though hopefully, she would be more careful if she did.
"She didn't seem scared when she saw me.  Maybe she will be back." he thought out loud.

The next morning Raf looked around the temple and she found a lever and pulled it. She was in a secret room and gasped when she saw a golden chest. She blew the sand off it and began reading the Incan script and it opened and there was a book. She smiled. "The Book of Life and Death...finally after all these years..." she opened it, she began reading it and the ground began to tremble.

Fernando was awakened by the feeling of a tremor.  It started in the temple and spread to the surrounding area.  He looked up in terror.
"Madre Maria, not that!" he exclaimed.  He rushed back to the temple.

Raf began holding the book for dear life. Not knowing what she did or awakened. She gasped as a rock hit her head and knocked her unconscious. She was laying down holding the book. Her eyes closed.

When Fernando arrived, the earthquake had stopped.  He found the girl he had saved before laying on the floor, a book in her hands.  Terror gripped him.
"Senorita?  Senorita, wake up." he begged, trying to rouse her.  He could tell she was still breathing; that, at least, was a good sign.

Raf fluttered her eyes opened and there she saw Fernando. She gasped out of shock, dropping the book. "You are alive but how?" she quickly leaned back on the wall and noticed she was caved it with him. "Did I wake up anything?"

"That's what I would like to know.  And yes, I'm alive.  Have been for a long time.  I want to see the page in the book you read from." Fernando instructed, folding his wings across his narrow chest.

Raf slid the book to him. She was still in shock. "Ummm I wanna thank you for yesterday..." she sheepishly said. "I hope I didn't wake anything bad cause I was just wanting to make myself known...I hate being a little nobody..." she buried her head in her knees.

"It looks like you were reading the tale about Quetzalcoatl, the Latin American Earth Goddess, and God of the Underworld.  The story states that she flew with him to the sun and created prosperity for the mortals.  Naturally, it has the opposite effect if the God of the Underworld took her to his domain.  But I don't understand why that earthquake started." Fernando explained, not paying attention to her talk about fame.

Raf looked at him. She didn't want fame but just to be noticed cause has a child she was bullied and beat up everyday. She wanted to show that she was smarter then people thought she was. She got up and tried to move the rocks from the doorway. She growled as she was scraped. "Stupid underworld stupid stories and stupid me..." she muttered with tears streaming down her face.

"Senorita?  Is there something you want to get off your chest?  Sometimes, it helps to have someone listen.  And it would help me to work on getting us outside." Fernando suggested as he began to inspect the blocked entrance.

Raf looked at him with tears. "People think that all this exploration is for fame and glory but its not I wanna prove myself that I am strong and not weak minded..." she slumped down and cried. "I feel lost and alone Fernando...you know that most guys dont like me cause the facts I know..." Her outfit was in shreds, she was dirty and her hair was a mess.

"Then they don't know what they're missing.  I happen to like intelligent women." Fernando told her.  Suddenly, stopped as he realized something.
"How did you know my name was Fernando?" he asked.

"My friend Louis told me...when you saved me the first time..." Raf giggled as she sniffled and wiped her tears away. "You really like intelligent women?" she blushed as her emerald eyes sparkled. She got up and began walking to him. Curious about his texture.
