"My love.  I love you...so much." Fu-xi told her.  He still pleasured her as best as he could.  His arms came under her and held her safe and secure against his body.  He felt it coming, the climax of their love-making.

Zoey-Ling wrapped her hands around his. "I...love you too my demigod...maybe after this we could go swimming at the lake by the temple...Ohhh what do you say?" her topaz eyes sparkling.

"Oh yes.  That sounds wonderful." Fu-xi whispered.  A swim with Zoey-Ling sounded like an enchanting idea.
Just then, he felt a sort of release when he moved deep into her.  This moment sent him over the edge.  It was the most body rocking sensation he had ever felt.
"We are one." he exclaimed as he began to relax.  The dragon in him seemed to roar with triumph.

Zoey-Ling smiled as she sighed a passion-like relief sigh "that was majestic..." she cuddled up to him and began sleeping soundly knowing after their nap that they'd go swimming. She yawned "my dragon demigod..." she cuddled close to his heart.

Fu-xi gave her a sweet smile as he lay beside her.  He looked forward to the end of their nap.  As he slipped into his sleep, he heard what sounded like his father's voice telling him how happy and proud he was of his son.

Meanwhile, those who had watched them became intrigued.  The boy had reached his full strength.  When they decided to strike, his power would make them unstoppable.

When their nap was done. Zoey-Ling changed into her swan-like swimsuit. "How you think?" she giggled as she quickly put her raven black hair in a braid. She held out her hand to him up out of bed. "Here I'll help..." Zoey-Ling decided to put a mini-dagger in her hair just in case.

"Thank you for the assistance.  And you do look very lovely.  Never forget that." Fu-xi insisted.  He got to his feet and started to accompany her to the lake she mentioned.
"Any time you're ready." he said with a sweep of his arm.

Zoey-Ling smiled as she wrapped her arm with his. She placed her head on his shoulder. "I love you so much..." she made him turn to face her as she pulled him in for the prefect kiss. "Now let's go..."

So, Fu-xi led the way to the lake near the temple.  It was a short nice walk, since he knew the way so well.  The location was quite beautiful, like something out of a professional painter's masterpiece.
"Here we are." he announced, excitedly.  He removed the long gi he had brought and stood in his swimming trunks.

Zoey-Ling smiled as she put her mini-dagger around her neck as she gracefully jumped in. "Come on in my demigod...the waters are prefect..." she giggled as she went underwater and came up looking like a water goddess.

With a cheery laugh, Fu-xi sank into the water with her.  The sight of Zoey-Ling in the water was awe-inspiring.  He couldn't wait to join her.
"You're right.  The water is just right." he agreed with her.  He moved through the water on her back as easily as a bird in flight.

Zoey-Ling smiled as they were together in harmony in holy water and ground and it was prefect. She turned around and splashed him. "Got ya..." she giggled as she quickly swam to be out of range.

The splash had surprised him.  Fu-xi had to take a minute to get some of the water out of his eyes.  When he could see again, he was intent on finding Zoey-Ling.
But he didn't get the chance.  A rope dart came out of nowhere and grabbed his arm.  He looked towards shore and found two men trying to pull him closer.
"What is the meaning of this?" he demanded to know.
"At last, we found the child of the Dragon Gods.  We've been searching for you for a long time." one of the men said.

Zoey-Ling smiled but when she turned around she saw her beloved tied up. She rose from the water with a glimmer in her eyes. "Let him go or else..." she said firmly. She got her dagger ready but she felt a sharp pain. She looked at her chest. There was a sword through her heart. She looked up. "I'm sorry...I love you..." she looked down that's when she fainted in the water.

"No!  No, you can't do this!" Fu-xi begged.  They pulled him away from her, dragging him to the temple.
"Father, please help." he prayed.  He struggled like a mad thing as they tried to restrain him.  It was a desperate plea for help.
Meanwhile, his father had heard his son's plea.  The Dragon God that was Fu-xi's father appeared at the lake.  He looked upon Zoey-Ling and healed the wound in her chest.  He would need her to help save his child.

Zoey-Ling gasped life in her lungs once more. She fluttered her eyes opened. She saw her beloved's father. He didn't have to tell her what to do cause she scent it. She ran in the temple. Dagger in hand she screamed "Leave him alone!!!!! NOW!!!!" her eyes began to glow. She ran to the first goon and stabbed him in the heart. "Anymore takers?" she ran to save her beloved. "I'm coming..." she cried out.

Fu-xi screamed horribly as one man pressed a hot knife to his back, to the dragon mark that rested there.  He felt as if that part of him, that part of himself that was a dragon, was being forced to show itself.  He didn't know what would happen when it did, but he doubted he would like it.
"By the Jade Emperor, he is powerful.  Just think how strong he will make us." the other man told his colleague.  As they started to begin a ritual, he felt his body begin to change against his will.  For the first time, he was not in control of the transformation and he was not turning into his snake form.

Zoey-Ling ran as fast as she could. "I'm coming my Fu-xi..." she gasped at what she was seeing. She growled "Let him go or suffer what's in store..." when they didn't listen she laughed as she leaped and jumped on the goons. She gently pulled the sword out of her beloved back and placed her necklace on his back. It'd healing powers. "Heal my love I'll hold these guys the best I can..." then she was pinned on a stone wall. The goons started to put their hands upward. "Fu-xi...." Zoey-Ling cried.

"Stay away from her!" Fu-xi shouted.  At that moment, he finally managed to take the form he had long thought would be denied him.  He took the form of a beautiful dragon with a long serpentine body, silvery claws, iridescent scales, and gold crest on his head.
His wrath was a sight to behold.  Whatever men were there fled in mortal dread, knowing they had failed.  When Zoey-Ling had removed the blade from him, she had taken away their means to siphon off his power.  And now that he had taken the form of his sire, the power couldn't be taken from him.
Safe from danger, he felt fatigue setting in.  His legs buckled underneath him and he sank to the floor.  But he remained upright, even as his father and beloved rushed to his side.
"I'm exhausted.  I didn't realize I was that strong." he said, weakly.

Zoey-Ling held Fu-xi's head on her lap as she caressed his cheeks. "My hero...and beloved." she smiled as she kissed him. She felt him weaken. She looked at Fu-xi's father. "If he's weakening or dying please I want him to have my strengths...." all of a sudden Zoey-Ling felt a bolt of energy leave her body and ended up in Fu-xi's. Zoey-Ling closed her eyes. "I love you Fu-xi." Zoey-Limg said for the last time.

"Poor child.  In the presence of a deity, one's words are taken seriously.  My son may not have needed her strength, but the Jade Emperor demands balance." the Dragon God of the North said, shaking his head in sympathy.
"Father, no.  I didn't want this.  If she must die, then I will as well." Fu-xi declared.  But something different happened.  While both humans died that day, the Dragon God couldn't bear to see such a beautiful love die with them.  He used the lifeforce that remained to turn his son and Zoey-Ling's bodies into snakes and give them life since the spirits had moved on.
Ever since then, cobras would be fiercely protective of their mates, always willing to fight for them.  And to honor their love, that species of snake mated for life.

Alidia smiled. "okay that's making my list of favorite pastlifes...." then she began to fell the dream change. Her groaned quietly. Then she looked at the mirror as she stop feeling the change pain. Same black hair same cat-like green eyes but she was wearing a dress with an apron. And her name was Cora Witman.

Rahim wondered in the back of his mind if that mark shaped like a dragon was still on his back, like the Phoenix brand was on Alidia's neck.  He would have to find out after he woke up later.  Because another scene had played out.
This time, he looked very similar to the way he did now, except that he didn't have fangs or those serpentine eyes even though they were yellow.  He was dressed in fairly rich clothes, living in a castle.  His name was Baelfire Mills.

Cora was walking through the village and there she saw it. A bookstore. "Yes.." Cora exclaimed as she walked in. "I'll be right there..." the storekeeper said. "Take your time..." Cora shouted and she looked through the books. 'So many to chose from...' she thought. Then she found one. She picked out the story of 'Romeo and Juliet' the storekeeper rung her in and Cora went to the woods and by a stream to ride her new book.

Baelfire was tending to his garden at that time.  But he had run out of water.  So, he found a bucket and went to the stream in the forest to collect it.  No one would be around at this time, and that was just fine with him.
