"Amy!" Edward shouted her name in concern. He dove over the side of the railing and into the water. The young man began swimming as hard as he could to get to her.

Poseidon was happy that Amy was with him. But he made his daughter Anya trade places. So Amy was a mermaid and Anya was a human. Anya began to pretend to drowning. She "passed" out for Edward to get his "beloved".

Unfortunately, Edward had seen what had happened. He knew the woman pretending to drown was not his Amy. He passed her by and kept trying to get to her. But he was running out of air. If only he could change back into a Naga. Then, he could reach her.

Amy began to unwrap her wrist's bandage that Edward wrapped. "please work for something." her blood began to flow in the water. Amy wanted to go to him but Anya was kissing him and Poseidon wasn't letting her go. "Edward...." she screamed in the bubble Poseidon put her in. 

By receiving Anya's kiss, Edward was getting something he wanted. He had gained the aquatic form he needed to survive and move better in the water. Finally had all he could take of this nonsense, he forced Anya off of him.
"I don't want you." he stated with finality. Quick as a marlin, he swan for Amy. He was going to get her back and nothing was going to stop him.

Amy smiled as she saw her pirate coming for her. But Poseidon wasn't happy. He held his trident over Amy. "Come any closer and she'll get it..." Amy began moving back and forth the bubble trying make it pop. "Edward..." she cried. "Leave I'll be in the surface in no time....just go...."

"Are you sure, Amy? I just want to make sure you're safe. If you say you can handle this, I'll have to trust your word on that." Edward told her, though he didn't leave without some confirmation.

Amy smiled. "Edward you have my love and word....just go...and know that I love you my pirate..." Amy was planning to secretly trade something for her freedom and she didn't want Edward to find out. She was going to give Posiden her raven black hair and her voice. Those things would save them both. She cried a silent tear as she waited for Edward to leave.

Edward had a bad feeling in his stomach. But, he went back to the surface to wait for her. He just hoped that nothing truly terrible happened to her.

Amy looked at Posiden when Edward went to the surface. He took his trident and made it flash on her. All of her long hair gone....and then Posiden pointed the trident on her throat and her voice was gone. Then he tossed her aside and she was washed up on the shore. Her face was covered in seaweed and she still wore the shells she wore when she was a temp mermaid. She was laying face in the sand.

As soon as Edward returned to shore, he went looking for his angel. He found Amy on the beach and came to see it she was okay. Turning her over, he was surprised to find her hair gone.
"Amy, what did her do to you?" he asked as he placed his coat around her, coiling beside her.

Amy felt the warmth of Edward's coat around her and smiled when she saw him. She began to speak but she couldn't cause of her voice. She held her beloved tight as if she was apologizing.

In that instant, Edward realized what had happened. Amy had traded away her hair and voice to ensure their safety. He wrapped her in a reassuring embrace.
"Oh Amy, how could he be so cruel? I was willing to sacrifice my humanity if he didn't let you go. And you gave up your hair and voice to save us both. We both expressed pure love for each other." he explained, solemnly.

Amy began to cry as she placed her hand on Edward's chest where his heart was then she placed it on her heart. She loved him so much. Her tearful eyes looked at his and she kissed him. "There had to be a way out of this...but I don't want Edward giving up anything..." Amy was thinking when she wrapped her hands around Edward as they kissed. Then she saw the boat. And the crew looked at her weirdly.

"Pure love. I wonder if...Maybe true love's kiss can help fix this. I'm willing to give it a try, Amy. Are you?" Edward asked, a hopeful expression on his face.

Amy smiled. She first reached in the coats pocket and felt the blindfold that shared their first kiss. She covered her eyes. She prayed it'd work but she knew if it didn't they could visit the goddess of love. She took Edward's hands.

Edward wasted no time in kissing her this time. He felt this strange sensation run through them as he held Amy close. His hand felt long silken hair fall over it and he heard a little moan from a feminine voice break the silence. Peaking one eye open, he saw that he was slipping back into his human body.

Amy loved the kiss. Then she felt her hair growing back. She gasped as soon as they were done. She opened her mouth. "...Edward..." she said and she gasped again as she squealed and kissed him along the sand. She began feeling more intensity from her beloved in the good way she began running her hands on his chest. "I..love you and only you..." she kissed him longer this time.

"And I love you, my angel." Edward told her as he caressed her skin. She was the most beautiful sight he could ever imagine. Hearing her voice and knowing she was safe with him was the greatest reward he could have ever asked for.

Amy smiled as she kissed him softly this time. And then she heard something. "Edward...do you hear that it sounds like angry people...like a revolution or a mob..."

Edward stopped and listened. At first, his ears didn't catch the sound she described. But after a while, the sound became more noticeable.
"I do hear something. What could be causing that?" he inquired, confused.

Amy got up and noticed there was a ton of smoke. And then there was a fire. Then she squinted her eyes. It was her fathers estate. "No...." she cried as she pushed people aside being separated from Edward. She wondered what happened so she went in the estate looking for her father "Daddy..dad..."

Edward did his best to keep up with her. He saw a house that was on fire, which she was rushing toward. There could only be one explanation why.
"Oh no." he mumbled. Amy's house was burning to the ground. The people had to do something to stop the fire.

Amy ran inside a secret window she knew. She couldn't barely see. "papa..." she said and she was coughing from the fires smoke... (coughing) "papa...where are you..." she began to feel dizzy and lightheaded but she pressed on. She saw all her memories burn as she continued to look.

Edward had finished telling people to bring water. Then, he went in to find Amy and her father. He found her easily enough. He wrapped a kerchief around her mouth so that she wouldn't inhale the smoke.
"Let's see if we can find your father." he said to her.
