Rahim watched the sisters together. He hadn't said why, but that was the reason he liked their past life as Griff and Jessica the most. All his life, Rahim had wanted a little brother, or sister; he would've been happy either way. That was the only time he could think of where that wish was a reality.

Alidia looked at her sister's eyes. "Youre growing up in your heart Toribug....I've missed you..."
Alidia walked to her parents and hugged them "Ive missed you guys too....I remember the lullaby..."

Rahim swayed gently to the song. It was very touching, as was the scene between Alidia and Victoria. He wished that he could have known her family before now. It made for a slightly sad thought that they only knew each other's parents as spirits.

Alidia started to cry. Her parents looked at their eldest with tear filled eyes. "Dont cry dear Ali..." her mom said as she embraced her. "Hey Alidia...we will be together okay...Victoria come here..." the whole Hendly clan was together as Aaron sang a song.

"You're all lucky to have had each other for as long as you did." Rahim said at last. They made such a beautiful picture. Just watching them together warmed his heart.

They started to fade away but they motioned Rahim. "Youre apart of the family now....come on Rahim join in...." Aaron and Haley loved Rahim as their own. "Remember that families stick together...and we've met yours Rahim..." "Youre like your mother..." Haley said.

Rahim felt his heart soar at this. It meant so much to hear that from Alidia's parents. He may have had his father's looks, but he had his mother's disposition.
"Thank you, very much." he said.

Haley, Aaron and Victoria waved goodbye as they vanished. But Victoria said "Kick some hunter butt Ali-merry..." Alidia giggled at her sister's old petname for her. Alidia embraced her beloved. "That was my somewhat normal family..." Alidia giggled as she kissed Rahim's cheek. "I feel like I could do anything..."

"Do you, sssweetheart? Maybe we could do sssomething elssse together." Rahim suggested, with a grin.

Alidia giggled "Wanna check out another pastlife or what's your idea?" Alidia grabbed Rahim's hands and held them to her.

Rahim made a fake surprised face at her question. She had guessed what he had been thinking.
"You read my mind." he said in a joking way.

Alidia laughed then snorted. She blushed. "Ohh that wasn't supposed to happen..." Alidia ran to get her book. "Where to?" Alidia asked.

"Well, if you're feeling nossstalgic for home, we could see the one with Jessssica and Griff. We could sssee how they fell in love." Rahim suggested.

Alidia nodded as she took Rahim's hands and dropped the book. "Backness Timeness..."
There was a glow of light. And Alidia had Rahim's hands but when they went back she only was having Jessica's memories. "Whose Rahim?" she thought to herself; she shrugged her shoulders as she walked in her pink dress...and it was raining.

In a few minutes, Rahim's memories were replaced by those of Griff. He was up on the roof of of of the fancy houses, watching the streets. There weren't many people out that night, just a young lady on her way home.
'Looks like everything is in order around-Wait a minute. That looks suspicious.' Griff thought, for he had just noticed a man turn to follow her.

Jessica felt like someone was walking up on her. She looked behind her and saw a man. She began walking faster and the man did too. Until he grabbed her and pinned her on a stone wall. "Well...looks like I found the jackpot..." his voice was raspy and he began feeling her up. "Please dont...." Jessica cried.

'Well that just about tears it.' Griff thought when he saw what was happening. Spreading his wings, he glided down to put a stop to it. Anyone who might have seen him while in the air could mistake him for an angel because of his feathered wings.
He landed a few feet away from them. The male gargoyle walked the rest of the way toward them, and tapped the man on the shoulder. He looked behind him and was instantly afraid.
"Now is that any way to treat a lady?" Griff asked a rhetorical question.

Jessica was grateful but this was too much. She began running but she didn't scream. The man who was following her yelled "What are you going to do about it?" Jessica was so frighten that she didn't see the cablecar coming right at her.

"Just this." Before the offender could react, Griff fisted one hand and punched him in the face. That's when he noticed the girl had run off...and where she had run to. He gasped when he saw the vehicle coming her way. The gargoyle raced to get to her before it was too late. He reached her just in time, grabbing her arm and pulling her to safety as the cablecar went past.
"Well young lady, that could've been a bit nasty." he said to her.

Jessica was shaking. She just embraced the person she was with. "T...thank you..." Jessica stuttered. She started to cry. Burying her tear fulled face in the strangers clothed chest.

Griff stiffened at the contact, but only for a second or two. It didn't surprise him one bit that she was scared to tears by her encounter. He wrapped his arms around her in a hug and draped his around them both.
"Now, now. It's alright, Miss. It's over now, no need to be afraid. They call me Griff. What's your name?" He just talked to calm her down and to make her feel better.

Jessica looked at Griff's eyes. And saw something familiar but she shook it out of her mind. She pushed her hair aside "I'm Jessica." she smiled.

"Well Jessica, how about I take you home? I'm sure you want someone near for a while until you feel better. And I would be able to keep you safe if any othe undesirables are still out there." Griff offered. Something about Jessica made him feel comfortable. He pushed it to the back of his mind.

Jessica giggled as they walked to her home. Jessica looked at the hero that saved her. "Well this is me, thanks again for everything. I'd like that offer bout the protection." Jessica began walking upstairs but she walked back down and kissed Griff on the lips. "For payment and luck." Jessica said as she hurried in the house and into her room.

Griff was stunned for a minute by what had taken place. He hadn't expected the girl, Jessica, to be that grateful. But, he felt this...lightness in his stomach that made him very giddy.
Before he left, he looked back at the house. A smile spread over his beaked mouth. Then, he crossed the street, climbed to the top of another house and glided back to his clan's shop in the Soho region of London.
