First Run (Tag: Students)

Six had been in China for the last few days seeing new athletic and martial art techniques. He entered the gym and was ready to start the exercise and athletics training. If anybody was willing to learn, the proper skills other than running.

Kida walked into the gym, a rather keen expression on her face. She needed the exercise. They always did so much in Atlantis. Now that she was here, she felt deprived of it. She spotted the teacher before walking over. She smiled, "it seems I'm early" she commented before glancing around the gymnasium.

Terra was actually feeling semi-confident about this. Months of being on the run had already put her into pretty good physical shape. Of course, she had always been a bit of a wiry sort of kid. "Miss Twig" had been a popular nickname for her back at the foster home. But Terra put thoughts like that out of her mind. She was here now. No good could come from thinking about the past. When she entered the room, she saw the teacher and another student standing near each other. She smiled as she walked over to them, but didn't say anything.

Briar stepped into the gymnasium, her hands busy tying her long blonde hair up into a high pony-tail. She had changed into a simple pair of tights with a long shirt that was belted at the waist. Her feet were bare, as they always were when she preformed any kind of physical activity.

This would probably be the only class the tolerated and if the instructor did their job properly and was able to teach her something her mother hadn't already, then they're stand a chance of earning her respect. Though, it was highly unlikely.

She walked past the instructor and the students who had arrived before her and found a spot for herself. She began stretching, loosening the muscles in her arms and legs first, once she was comfortable with that she began a series of more complicated warm up exercises that included several fighting movements that her mother had drilled into her mind.

Six looked at the three girls who joined his class. "Alright so we will begin. Since this is your first time, I suggest you to all do some calisthentics before we get started."

Terra blinked. Her vocabulary wasn't huge, and the word "calisthenics" left her confused. "Was that even English?" she hissed at the white-haired girl nearby. She seemed to be the only other person who seemed not completely at ease. The other blonde girl seemed to fit perfectly in this environment.

Kida watched as the blonde girl got straight into it, leaving her and the other lighter blonde girl with confused expressions. Callisthenics? She had never heard of that term before. She crossed her arms and leaned her weight on one leg, before turning her head when the lighter blonde hissed at her. She shrugged her shoulders, "I don't understand what 'callisthenics' is" she mumbled, mispronouncing the word. She glanced back at the other blonde, seeing her doing stretches and whatnot. "I suppose we should follow her lead" she gestured to the blonde before raising her eyebrows at the other girl.

Briar rolled her eyes, calisthenics Really? That was too easy, but whatever, if the instructor wanted to bore her to tears he was succeeding. Briar fell out of her practices fighting stance and moved into a simple lunge, one leg pushed forward with the knees at a 90 degree angle with the ground and the other stretched out behind her.

After ten repetitions of that, both right and left, she yawned before dropping down to do some push ups, maybe she could beat her record...that might keep her entertained for a time.

She glanced over as her ears caught the whispers of the other two girls, they both looked very confused.

"It seems that Miss Briar is the only one that knows what the term calisthenics means. Okay, Miss Kida and Miss Terra, if I'm correct? Do twenty five push ups, you know when you lift yourselves up from the ground, and Miss Briar, you can start your lap around the track, and I do mean that track." Six pointed to a track that looked most like a normal track, but had a few extra booby traps that Six had modified. He really wanted to see his students skills.

"Well not all of us know every gym lingo word," Terra muttered, crossing her arms over her chest. But it looked like Six meant what he said, and if Terra and Kida didn't get to it soon, he would probably get nasty. She sighed before getting to the ground and starting her pushups. She started off fine, but found herself straining a bit by the end. Just because she was skinny didn't mean that she was physically fit overall.

Kida frowned. Push ups? Was that considered a hard sport to do? She got down on her hands and knees before getting into position and doing twenty five push ups, almost as if she were pro at it. She wasn't one to brag, but she was pretty athletic, all those years of being trained by her uncle seemed to have some positive outcome. Though calisthenics was a term she had never heard of, so she wondered whether she would be good at it. Once she was done doing the assigned task, she stood up and put her hands on her hips.

Briar moved to the track and began an easy jog on the worn path. The fae folk were fast but that didn't mean that she was going to exert any excess energy if she didn't have to. She watched out of the corner of her eye as the other two girls preformed a set of push ups, the white haired girl seemed to be having an easier time of it than the one who was about the size of a sprite.

She returned her attention to what was infront of her, she couldn't wait for things to get interesting, jogging and warm up excersises were child's play.
