Relaxing Ride (Tag: Alidia)

"Um, Madame, shouldn't Monica come with us?  She is your daughter after all." Barnabas asked.  He cast a look at Monica.

Flo smiled. "She'll be okay... Come Barnabas tell me all about you & her..." Monica began having flashbacks as they walked off. A young Monica playing & then she was taken away. 

"Don't you already know enough about your own daughter?  And there's not much I can say about me.  Just that I have a father and sister, and that most of our kingdom has been infected with the curse of the Worgen." Barnabas explained.

Monica sat down like a mindless puppet letting her memories play out. Flo just giggled. "She's fine..." She took Barnabas to the gardens. "But how do you and Monica think of each other?" Meanwhile; Monica blinked as she began looking for Barnabas. 

"I would say she and I both love each other.  We've been through quite a bit together." Barnabas said, looking back at Monica.  He wanted to go to her and give her a hug to prove it.

Flo smirked as she wrapped herself around Barnabas while Monica was going through the crowd looking more. "Where is he?" Then people told her to check the gardens. She went though and saw him. She smiled but then gasped as she saw her mother with him. Flo continued to smirked as she kissed Barnabas. Monica felt her heart break. She ran away back in the crowds crying. 

"Get off of me!" Barnabas insisted.  He raked his claws across the woman's face.  Then he pushed her away.
"Did you really think I would leave the girl I love for her mother?  The idea is disgusting!  I'm done with you!" With that, he turned and left with King Genn Greymane to find Monica.

Flo ran off. Monica felt like her heart shattered as she was in empty room with a locked door looking at the moon. "Why? Mom you kissed my Barnabas... How dare you..." Monica laid on the bed feeling broken. 

After leaving the King with his father, Darius, Barnabas went looking for Monica.  He followed her scent, leading him to a locked room.  He knocked on the door.
"Monica, are you in there?" Barnabas asked.

Monica grabbed her bow and arrows as she took some shots on the picture above the bed. "Yeah... I am..." she said sounding hurt. 

"I can hear the hurt in your voice, Monica, but I'm hurting too.  You could have done something to stop your mother from having her way with me.  I feel like you have no faith in my loyalty, when I saw such faith in your own ability to try and get me out of that cage.  Do you honestly think I would trade you for your mother?  Disgusting is the only word I have to describe that concept." Barnabas insisted on making his point of view known.

Monica grabbed her bow and arrows as she ran to the door with so many emotions going through her as she opened it facing Barnabas "I wanted to but I guess my human-like emotions got the best of me!!" She snapped & then began cooling herself down. "But my dear Barnabas... I'm not mad  at you..." She walked to the balcony looking the stars dropping her bow & arrows showing that she was giving up. 

"Then what are you mad at?  Tell me that, Monica.  What is so bad about emotions?  Human or not, everyone has feelings.  They are apart of us.  We can't deny a piece of ourselves." Barnabas told her.

Monica grasped the balcony's railing as she looked down at the ground. "I-- I-- I wanted to stop it but it's like something or somebody has control over me and I think it's my father..." She turned around to face Barnabas as she sat on the balcony. "I love you... And always will... Love..." She chuckled. "I am in love with you so much Barnabas... That it scares me..." she smiled. 

"Why should it be scary?  The important thing is that we love each other.  It's okay to love, Monica." Barnabas said, gently holding her.

She wrapped herself around him, hearing his heartbeat and feeling his warmth. "Because my Barnabas... I've never loved anyone as much as I do with you..." she smiled as she kissed his snout. 

"And I think that's an honor.  To be loved by you so much.  I thank you for that." Barnabas told her, holding her closer.

Monica snuggled into Barnabas's chest. "Mmm--- Barnabas..." 

"I'm here, Monica.  I'm right here.  And I'm not going anywhere." Barnabas promised her.

Monica locked her eyes into his as she looked up. "My Barnabas... I'll hold you to that..." She smiled and giggled as she held on to him feeling on cloud nine. 

"I bet you will.  As long as we stay true to each other, we have nothing to fear.  I know it." Barnabas assured her.

Monica smiled again as they looked at night sky together and held Barnabas's paws to her stomach. 

"Such a beautiful night.  Isn't it?" Barnabas commented.  He leaned on the balcony, just enough to be safe.

Monica smiled again. "Barnabas..." she cooed. 

"Hmm?  Yes, Monica?" Barnabas asked.  He looked at her with gentle eyes that seemed out of place on that Worgen face.
