Kat whimpered. "They're saying you don't love me.... Only my power... Tell me they're wrong... Jarred..." She looked at his eyes with hers with tears as she weakly touched her hands with his. 'You're nothing... Kat is a nobody... And Jarred doesn't love her... The War will continue for generations...'

"Kat, I started to love you before I even knew about your psychic power.  And I would love you, with or without them.  If I loved your powers, would I even be here?  Would I try to help you when you were down on yourself?" Jarred asked. "You are special to me, Kat.  Not your powers."

She weakly smiled. "... My Jarred... My love..." The voices began to fade. "It's working... What else do you like about me?" 

"Well, you have a gentle disposition.  And you have beautiful eyes.  Not to mention a...lovely figure." Jarred explained, looking flustered at the last sentence.

Kat smiled as the voices vanished. "They're gone..." She ran to him and kissed him passionately. "...I love you sooo much..."

"I love you too.  Very much." Jarred replied.  He wrapped his arms around her.  She was safe in his hold.

Kat smiled then she gasped as the small town came into view. "Jarred... We are here..." Then there was a sound of a pistol. "...You!!" the sailor growled. Kat looked at Jarred. "... Jarred..." 

"Come on!" Jarred said quickly.  He grabbed Kat's arm and ran for the dock.  They needed to disappear into the crowd, fast.

Kat smiled & giggled as they went through the crowd. Then it began to get overwhelming and her hand lost her grip. Then Jarred vanished. She gasped as she began looking. "Jarred?! My love?! Where are you?!"

"Kat?  Kat, over here!" Jarred called out for her.  He pushed his way through the crowd to get to her.  He reached out for her hand and grasped it.  Then, he hurried them to a less crowded street.

She smiled and laughed as they escaped the crowds. "I feel so free..." Then she gasped as she saw a field of wildflowers. She ran to them and began picking them. "Oh Jarred... Aren't they beautiful..." 

"They are.  Flowers remind one of the fragility of life.  And the beauty of it.  Don't you agree?" Jarred inquired.

She smiled and nodded as she made a daisy ring. She came to him and put it around his finger. "It's prefect..."

"Yes.  But this is even more perfect." Jarred said.  He found a white rose and placed it in her hair.

She began to blush as her tail came out and swayed. "...Jarred..." she cooed.

"Yes, Kat?" Jarred asked.  He noticed that she wasn't hiding her tiefling features anymore.  And the way she was looking at him made him feel warm.

"I wanna proclaim my love for you..." she smiled as she went to a tree and began climbing and once she reached a branch she inhaled and exhaled as she began to shout "I, Kat am in love with a Dragonborn named Jarred... And the best part is that he loves me to despite my devilish looks..." her tail swayed as she smiled. 

Jarred couldn't hide his joy.  A smile broke out over his face.  He considered climbing up that tree after her to kiss her with all the passion he felt at that moment.

Kat smiled as she held out her hand. "Come on my lovely Jarred...there's enough room for you..." 

With the invitation extended, he had no reservations about joining her.  Jarred climbed slowly, mostly because he'd been given expensive robes because of his clan's prestige.  Eventually, he did make it to the branch she was perched on.

Kat smiled as she watched the sunrise. "Isn't breathtaking my love... My Jarred..." Kat held his hand. "You're my other half... My soulmate and I love you with all of my heart..." 

"I feel the same way about you, Kat.  You're the one, I just know it.  I'm glad I came up with this plan for us to have an adventure together." Jarred said before he placed a kiss on her hand.

Kat smiled and blushed as she brushed her kissed hand on her cheek. "I would go anywhere with you..." Then she turned to face him and kissed him passionately. "I'm so... Glad we are together..."

"Me too, Kat.  Me too." Jarred told her.  He wasted no time in kissing her back.  It was a perfect topper to an exciting day.

Kat smiled underneath their kiss as she softly moaned. "Ohhh Jarred..." She cooed. "My love..." She grasped a branch above her to keep her balance.
