"I would be happy to.  You're everything I've ever wanted in my bride.  I'm so happy I found you, Merida." Luke said, helping her to her feet.

Merida's eyes sparkled as they were to their feet. "Luke you were my ideal prince even though it was forbidden and we are together. I love you so much..." she blushed.  Then she was showed to a room and she was getting dressed measured and prepped up. She looked at the colorful dress. "Oh my..." she said in awestruck. And then the Queen placed a diamond crown on her head.

Luke hurried to get himself into something more suitable.  He wanted to cut a neat figure when he got married.  He was dressed in red and blue, with black stately boots.  As he looked out the window, he spotted an unusual number of poppies growing in the garden.  Something, he didn't know what, but something told him that they had to go.
"Excuse me.  I'd like you to gather some of the most beautiful flowers from the garden for my bride's bouquet, but leave the poppies out of it.  Once that's done, have the gardeners salt the flowerbeds with poppies." The prince instructed a servant.  Then, he went to check on Merida.

Merida smiled as she looked at herself. Rags to riches. From being a servant to a wicked soul to marrying the true love of her life. She giggled. "Ohhh Luke..." she twirled "Soon you & I will be husband and wife..."

Meanwhile Buttercup screamed. "He ruined the poppies...what now?" she growled. "Just leave it to me child..." the witch said.

"You're so right, my dear.  This is a special day." Luke admitted.  He walked up to his dear Merida.
"You look so beautiful." he said as he caressed her cheek.

Merida smiled as Luke caressed her cheek. She placed her hand with his. "My Luke...my Love..." she said passionately in her accent. "I can't imagine a greater love like ours..." she took his hand and kissed the fingertips.

"There have been a number of good love stories out there.  Maybe ours will be one of them.  It's a possibility." Luke said, sliding his arms around her waist.

Merida giggled as she looked into Luke's eyes. "My your eyes are like stars...shiny and oh Luke..." she began leaning forward.

"Merida..." Luke could tell what she wanted.  For he wanted it too.  He closed the distance between them and kissed her, sweetly and passionately.

As Merida knew this kiss between them was the kiss. The one making them as husband and wife. She softly moaned with the kiss.

Meanwhile:
"So what's the plan...." Buttercup asked eagerly. The witch smiled as she casted a spell of a war. And that meant Luke had to go. And then Merida would get captured.

The moment was sweet and tender.  He savored every minute of it.  This girl, this young lady, was the one who made his life complete.
"I love you, Merida." he whispered.

"As I love you Luke forever and always..." Merida smiled and giggled. Then there was a guard. "Sir Luke a war...you must lead us..." Merida began to tear up but she caressed his cheeks. "Go and come back for me..." Merida whispered as she put a rose in his pocket.

"I do not like war, my dear.  So I will stop this fight before too long.  And then I will return." Luke promised her.  He followed the guard out.
"I don't see why I have to lead you.  We have generals who are more experienced who could do this better than I." he muttered, bitterly.

Merida watched Luke go. She sat down in her bed. She was still in her wedding dress and she started to hear a vocalizing and there was a whisp. It was so enchanting. Merida began to be in a trance. "So beautiful..." she said as she followed it to a tower. It glowed brightly as she saw a spinning wheel. Merida began to back away but there was a voice. "Touch it and the war will end." Merida touched the spindle and she collapsed as her crown dropped and rolled down the stairs.

"What was that?" Luke had heard a clattering.  He rushed to find out where it came from.  He found Merida's crown.  Was it possible that it had fallen off as she was climbing the stairs?
"Merida!" he called for her.  He received no answer.  When he got to the top of the stairs, he found out why.

"And that's how it's done Buttercup..." the witch said. "Now go to him..."
Buttercup giggled as she sat on the floor besides Merida. "Tragic isn't? She wanted so much and she had very little..." Buttercup looked at Luke and smiled. "You're mine..."

"Am I?  I think not." Luke muttered.  In a swift movement, he broke off the spindle from the spinning wheel and held it a mere inch from Buttercup's heart.
"I have a sneaking suspicion that this spindle had something to do with this.  Give me one good reason why I shouldn't run you through with this right now." he threatened her.

Buttercup just grinned evilly. "Kill me Luke but remember there will be others like me...and you can't wake up her no matter what..." she laughed evilly.

"Then at least the world will be rid of one of your kind." Luke said before pushing her out the window.  Then, he turned to Merida.  He gathered her in his arms.
"I love you, Merida.  I only loved you." he said.  He kissed her lips again, a single tear falling from his eye onto her cheek as he did so.

Luke's tear dropped on Merida's cheek. It glowed as he kissed her. Merida fluttered her eyes opened and reached in Luke's pocket and pulled out the rose. She softly giggled as she caressed his cheeks. "My Luke..." she smiled.

The young prince let out a sigh of relief.  He felt his heart lifting when he saw her wake up.  A smile filled with love spread over his face.
"Merida.  Thank goodness you're alright." Luke exclaimed.

Merida smiled "Like I tell you regardless what happens to us; I love you...now let's get married." Merida's smile widen and giggled.

"I would be happy to.  Will my lady allow me to escort her there?" Luke asked as he placed the crown back on her head.  Then, he offered Merida his arm like a gentleman.

Merida giggled as she wrapped her arm with Luke's. "I'd like that my kind sir..." they walked downstairs and into the chapel. Merida was shaking but with Luke by her side she was the luckiest girl in the world.

"No need to be nervous, my love.  This is a happy day." Luke reminded her.  He offered a smile in the hopes of encouraging her that things were fine.
