"Yes, to both questions.  Would you mind if I accompanied you?" Maxwell asked, offering his arm for Aqua to take.

Aqua giggled as they walked up the stairs. She smiled as she the island and the memories floated back. "Its beautiful...I cant wait to land..." The crew rose their eyebrows.

"Me too, darling.  Me too." Maxwell said with a smile.  He reached for her hand, and gave it an affectionate squeeze.

Aqua looked at Maxwell's hand with hers. She smiled. The crew decided soon would be the time to attack the couple. Aqua placed her head on his shoulder as she saw the lagoon where they first met.

"There it is, Aqua.  The place where we became friends.  It's so beautiful from this angle." Maxwell said with a sigh.

When Maxwell said that the crew figured out what Aqua was. A mermaid. Then they grabbed her and held a dagger to her throat. "Maxwell..." she cried out but gasped as they tied him up. "Maxwell...help me..." they dragged her off. "Follow us and she dies..."

But Maxwell was not about to let them get away with this mutiny.  He had a knife hidden in his sleeve and he began using it to cut himself loose.  It was ten minutes before he could give chase and find Aqua.

Aqua was getting beaten senseless. "Why aren't you a mermaid anymore?" they asked "Cause Maxwell was in danger and he's my other half...my water God..." she got smacked and then they took off her aquamarine necklace. "No..." she cried as she started to get it back and she was thrown in the tub and started to drown and then the memories came to her. Then she felt a pain in her heart as the water turned red, she was stabbed in the heart with a jeweled dagger. "I love you my water god..." she whispered to herself as her eyes began to cry once last time and holding the necklace on her stabbed heart when it fell in water. Unknown to her that they placed the music box on the sink, playing their song.

All of a sudden, Maxwell heard the sound of their song playing.  He followed the tune and found a most grisly sight.  Aqua lay unmoving with a dagger in her heart and as he ran to her, he knew she was dead.
"What have you done?!" he roared with rage and pain.

The two sailors looked at him without expression or emotion. "She was a mermaid and a traitor...so she needed to pay..." Aqua flutter her purple eyes opened and her breathing was slow. "Maxwell...is that you?" she weakly said holding her hand out with the necklace dangling like a bracelet. She had limited time still in her. "Maxwell...I'm so sorry..."

"No, no, Aqua.  You have no reason to apologize.  My life was made better by knowing you." Maxwell told her, stroking her cheek with the back of his fingers.
"If anyone is to blame for this, it's all of you!  You'll all rot with other demons like you for this." he accused his crew.

"I feel so cold and my chest hurts Maxwell....I'm scared..." her voice was shaky and scared.
The necklace was losing. Her grip on his hand was weakening.
The crew just looked at him. "Shes brainwashed you...how can you say that because of her your days have been better what has she done for you?"

"Because I've known her for years!  I never lied when I said she was my childhood sweetheart.  She and I met when I was ten, she gave me a friend when I needed one, even if I didn't know it at the time.  I would protect her with my life." Maxwell said, holding her hand more tightly.

"Maxwell....I love you....and only you...forgive me...." Aqua cried one last tear before she lost her breath and she dropped her hand with the necklace grasped inside. The music box played their song. "Maxwell..." one of the sailors put his hand on his shoulder. "I tried to stop them but..."

Maxwell watched as Aqua cried one last time.  She looked like an angel that had its wings ripped off.  His heart began to break as he held her hand against his lips.
"No.  I'm sorry that you had to be put through this.  I love you, Aqua, more than I can ever say." he wept.

One of the sailors whispered aloud "It was true love...what have we done?"
The necklace Aqua was holding floated in the air shaped into a heart and placed itself next to Maxwell's pearl.
"Witchcraft...." another said.

Maxwell looked at what had happened.  He hadn't expected this to happen.  But it only served to prove that she was the only one for him.

The crew looked at their captain. "We are sorry..." But one sailor Mark Calloway looked at his mates and his captain. "Whats the hell wrong with you...all you... crying over an ocean whore...I'm glad we killed her..."

"How dare you!" Maxwell screamed.  He lunged at Mark Calloway, intent on strangling him for his insult.  He would cut his throat with a dull knife before he would let this upstart talk like that about Aqua again.

The crew held Maxwell and Mark apart. "Stupid sea whore as your head all mixed up..." Just then there was a light that stopped the ship and a figure. An oracle. "Maxwell Bennett...." she called out.

Maxwell heard his name being called.  He shook of the men restraining him so he could see who had called him.  The sight was a little unnerving.
"Here I am." he said, a little shakily.

The oracle looked at the captain. "Fate has double played you....What is your heart's desire but I must tell you that I cant bring her back..."

"My heart's desire.  All I desire is that I can be together with her, and that her killers are brought to justice through it.  Because I cannot live without her." Maxwell answered.

The oracle looked at the captain and smiled. "As you wish but I first want you to see something and then I will make one of your desires come true..." The Oracle closed her eyes and made the crew into small tuna. The fish crew freaked out and jumped in the ocean and got eaten by sharks. The Oracle's smile widen. "Now watch the life you and Aqua were suppose to have..." she made a sphere appear. It showed a wedding then little kids. And Aqua's voice filled the air with an echo. "Maxwell I love you and I am sorry..." Her face filled the sphere smiling. "Are you sure you wanna do this...." The Oracle asked.

"Yes.  I am sure." Maxwell answered, tears in his eyes.  His heart ached too much for him to bear it.
