"I see.  Then I think it's only fair to let you know that I have poor health.  That's the reason I didn't sign up to fight in the first place.  I would be expendable on the battlefield." Colman explained. "I'm sure you know all about what that's like."

James was getting mad but kept it calm. "understood..."


Meanwhile Shay began floating in her sleep. The memories slowly coming back. She gasped remembering everything. She could feel James's aura. She growled. "not this time..." she quickly flew and tackled the man at the door fighting him.

James smiled "Now you come to rescue your mortal...though it's forbidden...no nymph can't be in love with a human..." Shay growled as she pulled out her lucky dagger. "I'm changing that..." she tried to stab his heart but his flame kept hurting her hands. Them her dagger flew out of her hands. "No..."

Colman bid the man good night.  As soon as the door closed though, his face held no sign of humor.  He was sure that man was only one person.
"James." he muttered.  He rushed back to Shay's room to see if she was alright.
"Shay, are you alright?" he called, throwing open her door.

The fight, was a dream. Shay figured. She snapped her eyes open as Coleman walked in. Her wings expanded. "I...I remember everything..." she stammered. She flew to Coleman. She kissed him and held it cause she felt like she was going to lose him. "Coleman I love only you..." she whispered.

"I love you too, my sweet.  And I'm not going to leave you.  Ever." Colman promised her, kissing her face repeatedly to let her know he meant it.

Shay smiled. "I don't care for my people's laws I love you..." she gasped as she saw a bright light surrounding Coleman. "could it be? The prophecy?" she covered her eyes. "forbidden love makes true loves form.."

When Colman noticed the light, he gasped.  What was this?  What was happening to him?  He cast a look at Shay.
"Shay, what is going on?" he asked her.

Shay gasped as she saw wings appear on Coleman's back. He looked like her but with more darker colors. "the legend of my people..."if thee found love and thou aren't like thee and you ignore your ways they become like true loves form..." she flew up to him. "you're like me...but I don't know your power..."

It was a real surprise.  He had become a forest nymph like her.  He too began to wonder what sort of power he had now.
"How would we be able to find out what sort of power I have?" Colman asked her.

Shay smiled. She kissed him. "Well..." Shay saw a pot with a dying plant. She picked it up and flew back to Coleman. "Try making this plant healthy again..."

Colman started to take the plant from her so that he could do as she instructed.  He tried to concentrate on his given task.  As he let out a breath, he noticed the plant seemed to be regaining a healthy glow and stand more erect.
"I think I got it." he exclaimed in amazement.

Shay smiled "Yes you did..." Then Shay always wanted to try this. She took Coleman's hands and hers in the dirt. The plant began to expanded like a canopy bed. Shay smiled "Two nymphs in love make one's powers greater then the others when nature is involved..." Shay recited. She flew and lay down on the flower's center. "it's soft...I promise..." she smiled as she patted it. "Come on Coleman..."

Colman joined her on the bed.  She had been right, it was soft.  This experience was like something out of a fairy tale.
"This is so comfortable." he murmured.

Shay smiled as she cuddled close to him. "Coleman before you met me, did you believe in fairytales?" Shay kissed his cheek as she pulled herself closer to him resting her head on his heart.

"I did, even though my parents thought I should grow up.  I'm glad that I didn't let go of my belief in them." Colman answered, wrapping an arm around her.

Shay smiled. She felt his arm. "You know if we link our wings together if we..." Shay paused and blushed as she skipped that phrase "we become one and be married and James can't touch us." Shay locked her eyes into Coleman's. "that is if you want to..."

"Really?  How enchanting.  That does sound like a real plus." Colman whispered, giving her a big smile.

Shay nodded. "Yea...so you wanna do it...become what my people or should I say our people say...become lifemates?"

"If it's anything like what I think, then I would be glad." Colman answered her.  This was something he had often imagined.  That it was happening here and now was so amazing.

Shay smiled as she fluttered her wings a bit to make magic dust land in her hands as she tossed it on the flowers petals making it closed. Shay smiled as she flew up in the center of the flower "Coleman...it's time..we need to stay in the flower and nobody and I mean nobody can't bother us..." Shay was ready.

"Oh good.  I like the sound of that." Colman whispered.  He was looking forward to this more and more.

Shay smiled as Coleman flew to her. She wrapped her hands around him. "This may feel a bit weird but it's better than what you humans do..." Shay kissed him as their wings twirled and they spin slowly.

Colman held on to Shay.  His hands smoothed her hair.  Sharing a kiss with her now was even better than their first one.

Shay smiled as they kissed in the air. "Now my Coleman comes the fun part..." Shay smiled as she took off Coleman's upper clothing. She kissed his chest and flew around him kissing his wings and back. "We will become one..."

"That sounds wonderful.  Especially since I'll love only you my dear." Colman replied.  This was turning into the best night of his life.
