Treated to Dinner (Tag: Charmcaster)

Vlad had arrived ahead of time at the cafe. He had sent Charmcaster an invitation to dinner with him there. After all this time, he thought they were due for a romantic dinner for two. He waited near the door until she arrived.

Charmcaster saw Vlad in front of the cafe as she look at him "Hello there Vlad" said Charmcaster as she hold out her hand.

Vlad's face instantly brightened when he turned and saw her. He reached out and took her hand. As soon as she got close, he placed a kiss on her hand.
"Darling, I'm glad you got my invitation. Would you mind if I escorted you to a seat?" he asked, offering his arm.

"Not at all Vlad" said Charmcaster with a smile. She was glad that they got to do something fun together. Charmcaster waped her arm around his.

Vlad smiled as he showed her to a table not far away. He pulled chair out for her. He wanted her to enjoy herself.
"Take a seat, beloved." the Count said, sweetly.

Charmcaster sat down in the chair that he pulled out for her "Thank you Vlad" said Charmcaster with a smile and a small blush "So Vlad are you happy that I'm came here" asked Charmcaster.

"Absolutely." Vlad replied as he sat too. "Just being able to see you makes me happy. And I think we deserve to do something fun together."

"Yes we do after all of this" said Charmcaster as she look at him.

"My thoughts exactly. Now, what can I interest you in?" Vlad asked, opening a menu while keeping his eyes on the woman he loved and would marry.

"Well I think a caesar salad and maybe some snow crab legs and garlic shrimp scampi" said Charmcaster as she open her menu to hid her face.

Vlad carefully restrained himself from making a hiss at the mention of garlic. As long as he didn't have to taste it, he would ignore the allergen. He took a look to see what caught his eye.
"And I think I'll have the beefsteak tartar with stroganoff for my main course. Will you have anything to drink?" he asked, peaking over his menu at her.

"Hmm that sound good too and I was think of raspberry iced tea" said Charmcaster as she put down her menu "I dear I know that you hate garlic but I love it" said Charmcaster.

"Not many people know why vampires can't stand garlic. The reason is because garlic causes a horrible allergic reaction for vampires. If we swallow it, our throat swells up like a toad's. But I don't blame you for liking it. I'm just very cautious around garlic." Vlad explained, placing his hand on hers.

Charmcaster look at him as she feel his hand on her "I'm so sorry to hear that dear" said Charmcaster. She couldn't see that happen to his at all.

He smiled warmly at her.
"I know, darling. I appreciate that you care about me. I care about you as well." Vlad said before leaning over and giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Well I'm you do Vlad" said Charmcaster as she smile "Well dear I think we should be getting our food soon" said Charmcaster.

Vlad looked up past her. What he saw made him start to grin.
"Your guess would be correct, my dear. I see someone coming with our orders right now." he replied with a hint of humor in his tone.

"Of couse I'm right" said Charmcaster as she look at him as she lean back in her chair "And thank you for dinner" said Charmcaster.

"I'm happy that you like it. We should have been able to do this sooner." Vlad admitted, taking some of the tartar. "I hope you enjoy everything."

"I'm sure I will" said Charmcaster as she started with her salad. Charmcaster was happy but something keep poping up in her head.

Vlad was enjoying having dinner with Charmcaster. It wasn't often that they got to do anything with just them. But, there was this awkward silence between them. He looked up ather after a while.
"Charmcaster, is something bothering you? If it's anything I've done, I'd like to know so that it doesn't happen again." he assured her.

Charmcaster look up at him "It not you my dear but I fear that my mother will come here soon and try to get me to come back home" said Charmcaster as she look down.

"But why would she do that? As I understand it, you are a good teacher here. And you have not done anything wrong." Vlad said, surprised by her news.

"Well she will try to get money out of me like she did with my father and I worrie about that" said Charmcaster as she place her hands in her lab and try not to look at him.

"That hardly sounds fair. To you least of all." Vlad commented.
