Private Lesson (Tag: Alidia)

Alidia smiled as her dad took a glass and she took a second to think. "I don't think so, dad." she sat down on a chair cause she knew he'd tell her and she always love hearing him tell her things. She flicked her fingers to make cookies appear.

"Yes, I was quite surprised when I learned that story about me had been turned into a musical. I listened to several of the songs from the show. The one who wrote it knew how to recreate my character at the time very accurately." Vlad explained. "If you want, I could perform some of the songs I remember."

Alidia made the cookies disappear, and she smiled. "Yes, please dad." She took a sip of the Tru Blood in her wine glass.

"Well, I remember several of the songs, mostly the ones 'I' sing in the show. There's Fresh Blood, Loving You Keeps Me Alive, Life After Life, and The Longer I Live. Which one would you like to hear?" Vlad asked her.

Alidia thought of it. "They sound so good. How bout The Longer I Live?"

"Very well. I think you can figure out why this one reminds me of my life." Vlad began. He cleared his throat and began to sing.

Alidia closed her eyes as her father sang. She smiled, her father had the most angelic voice. She felt his pain and sorrow in this song but then her power of seeing whats in the heart took over and then she saw happiness and joy cause she saw herself in his heart with the Charmcaster too. When he was done she clapped. "Brava." Then her inner-self began sing a duet from Wicked she imagined Glinda's part with Ariel besides her singing along. Alidia opened the music note charm and made Ariel's hologram come up.

As he listened to Alidia sing with a hologram of Ariel, Vlad felt something constrict his throat. His eyes began to sting and he felt something hot on his face. Reaching up, he found drops of red making their way down his face. Vampire tears looked like blood. The Count had never cried much in his life, mostly because it took a great deal to bring him to tears, but this did the trick. He knew how it felt to be lonely and Alidia certainly had his sympathies there.

Alidia closed Ariel's charm. And opened Jim's. She still couldnt shake him out of her heart and mind. And her heart's feelings took over. She wasnt in control of her charms. They all opened and everyone's holograms showed. Oncie's, Jim's, Ariel's, her Dad's and many others.











The song was a personal message for those hunters.

Without noticing what he was doing, Vlad reached out to touch her. His hand landed on Alidia's shoulder. Tears were still on his face, but he didn't pay them any attention.
"Alidia." he called her name. With his throat still tight, it hurt to try and speak.

Alidia blinked her eyes to snap into reality. "Oh my," she said. Then she looked around. She muttered a spell to make the holograms disappear and she saw her dad crying. She hugged him tightly with a small tear. "I love you, daddy."

He took a breath to calm himself. He held Alidia close. Stroking her hair, he kissed the top of her head.
"I love you as well, my daughter. I understand your loneliness. No one knows how it feels to be alone like I do." Vlad whispered to her.

Alidia smiled as they saw eachother's eyes and she kissed him on the cheek. "We will be together until the end."

"I look forward to that. Now that I have a family here, I would be happy to share my time with everyone here. Home is here now, with you, Charmcaster, and the others.

Alidia nodded. And she sang with her heart.

A smile formed on his face. He hugged her more tightly. Vlad dried away whatever tears remained.
"Thank you, Alidia. It always does someone good to know that another cares." he whispered.

Alidia smirked and giggled. "No big, Dad. I love you tons."

He nodded his head in agreement. After a minute, he stepped back a little.
"Would you care to hear another of the songs I suggested?" Vlad asked.

Alidia smiled as she quickly sat down and nodding. "Yes please."

"I think you might like Life After Life. I find that it almost suits the situation our school is in, what with these hunters threatening it and all." Vlad suggested.

When her dad mentioned the hunters Alidia growled. But she wouldnt let that get to her so she'll get her revenge. "Oh please daddy sing it please."

Vlad nodded. He understood that this was an enemy that would not stop until they were all gone. Using that nimosity for them to give more passion to his song, he began. This was about how he saw those who hunted the supernatural and how he would stand against them.

Alidia stood up from her seat. "Brava daddy, brava." she smiled and hugged him. "Daddy that was wonderful."

Vlad laughed at her enthusiasm. He returned the hug nonetheless.
"Thank you, Alidia. I thought you might like that one."

Alidia nodded and smiled. Then she remembered she had a present for her father so she ran to her satchel. And reached deep, grabbing a wrapped box and ran back to her dad. "Here daddy. Happy Christmas and New Year." What it was a present. It was a necklace with her name.
