Inspiration (Tag: Alidia)

Alidia placed her head on his chest by his heart. "My dearest Rahim... Please tell me..."

"I was told about a genie curssse.  Not all geniesss were born that way, it turnsss out.  One was freed by his master after they fell in love." Rahim explained.

Alidia smiled as she snuggled in Rahim's arms. "Really? Do tell..."

"A young queen came to a dissstant land, and got lossst in a cave.  She discovered an old bottle that contained a genie inside to grant her three wishes.  He revealed that he was the illegitimate ssson of a sssultan, one who feared that the boy would ssstake a claim to the kingdom.  Ssso he had a curssse put on the young man that bound him to a life of ssservitude, as a genie." Rahim began.

Alidia smiled as she listened to very word.

"She promisssed to use her firssst two wishes for her own desiresss, and her third wish to ssset him free.  It took over a month before she made even one wish.  But it was to go to a royal ball with him as her essscort.  They both enjoyed their fun time together." Rahim went on.

Alidia smiled and nodded.

"Her sssecond wish was used after she met a man from her passst.  He had married and had a child on the way.  After sssome comforting from the genie, the queen wished that thisss man would be happy with his wife ssso they could both move on with their lives." Rahim explained, smiling at this part.

Alidia giggled and smiled. "Aww..."

"Comforting her made the queen realize she had fallen in love with her genie.  He ssseemed to feel the sssame for her.  Ssso, she wasssted no time in making her third wish, for him to be free.  At lassst, he was free to do as he wished and that was to love her as her equal." Rahim concluded.

"Awww...." Alidia smiled.

"Ssso, now I have a dilemma.  I need to write up a ssstory for the class, and I have two ideasss.  Which of these ideasss do you think I should use?" Rahim asked her.

Alidia began to think. "Hmmm..."

"Which do you think is the better ssstory?  That's my big concccern about the whole thing." Rahim told her.

"I think the genie one is the way to go..." Alidia smiles

"You think ssso?  Why did you pick that one?  Out of curiosity." Rahim inquired.

"I know so and I liked it cause it was romantic and it's a story that was passed on...

"Really?  I can sssee how that would be more impressive.  It would catch more attention being about sssomething that really happened." Rahim agreed.

Alidia nodded as she agreed. "yeah..." she smiled and laughed

"As for my firssst idea, maybe it could be turned into a play to be performed for the ssschool.  Then it won't be left on the shelf.  And what are you laughing about?" Rahim asked, unable to resist smiling with her laughter.

Alidia's laughter with Rahim's filled the room as she shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know but I love laughing with you and hopefully our kids love laughing like their daddy..."

"I hope ssso.  And maybe we could turn my firssst idea into an original play.  Would you like that idea, love?" Rahim asked, his eyes bright with joy and admiration.

Alidia smiled and giggled. "I'd like that. And dad would too." Then she began to blush. "Could I tryout for it?"

Rahim smiled, and almost laughed for the first time in his life.  He should've known that his Alidia would want to try out for an idea they had discussed.  It seemed to be in her nature.
"Of courssse you can.  If it makesss you happy." he replied.

Alidia smiled and giggled. "Yea!!" Then she swore she almost heard her Rahim laugh. She smirked as she came to him and began tickling him. "I got you my desert god!!" she squealed.
