Relaxing Ride (Tag: Alidia)

"Right.  I want to know what he's hiding." Barnabas agreed.  Having the feet of a wolf allowed him to walk more quietly.  Godfrey wouldn't be able to hear them.

Monica liked sneaking and quietly following with Barnabas. It was fun & sweet. He was kind and gentle to her and she loved that. Wait? Love? Could it be possible she was feeling the emotion she feared to feel since her mother walked out on her and her father. 

Barnabas, meanwhile, was also thinking to himself that he enjoyed doing this with Monica.  She was special in some way.  It felt like the feelings he held for his sister, Lorna, but even that wasn't the same.  Whatever he felt for her was of a different sort.

Monica smiled as they walked. 'Am I falling in love with Barnabas?' Her heart was skipping beats. 

Barnabas started to think maybe he was falling in love with Monica.  It would make sense; humans and elves had gotten together over the course of history.  But he had to remind himself that he was not human anymore; he was a Worgen.  Maybe such a relationship would not be frowned upon, considering that it was the Night Elves who first had contact with Worgen.

Monica looked Barnabas as her heart skipped beats. "Barnabas... Can I ask you something?" she whispered softly as they hid. 

"Yes?  What is it?" Barnabas asked.  He got the sense that she had been thinking too.

"I-- I kinda like you..." she blushed. "...Barnabas..." she smiled. 

"Do you?  That's quite a coincidence.  I kind of like you too." Barnabas told her.

"...Barnabas..." Monica softly cooed as she held his paw close to his heart. "This is for you..." 

"Monica, I...I don't know what to say.  Except that, I care for you.  Until you, there was only one woman who meant anything to me, and that woman was my sister, Lorna.  But this, what I feel for you, it's in a completely different class." Barnabas said, overwhelmed by his feelings.

"...Barnabas..." Monica softly cooed again as she moved closer to him holding his paw. "I agree..." She began leaning forward to kiss him but the sound of The Lord talking broke their moment. 

"I don't know what the King is thinking of, trying to cure these wretched mongrels.  Can't he see this is madness?  If things continue on this way, we may need to take action." Lord Godfrey said to two other nobles.
'That cruel, faithless man.  Now I see why I didn't like him after becoming a Worgen.' Barnabas thought to himself.

"...poor Barnabas..." Monica whispered to herself. "...and his people..." She began getting her bow & arrows ready.  

"After the rumors about Darius Crowley gathering the sane Worgen, I wonder if the King too was infected with the curse.  If that's true, this kingdom deserves better than to have one of them for a King." Barnabas wasn't paying attention to anything else after that.  His father and the king were in danger.  That was all he needed to know.

Monica looked at Barnabas. "What should we do?" she whispered. 

"We need to find my father.  He can tell us more.  Then, we'll worry about Godfrey." Barnabas replied.

Monica nodded as she followed Barnabas. She was excited to meet Barnabas's father. 

Barnabas had been following a trail of tracks.  All of them were Worgen tracks.  Hopefully they would lead him and Monica to Darius, his father, and they could learn more.

She continued to followed Barnabas. She was excited to meet Barnabas's family. Hopefully they can tell her more about theirselves. She kept her bow and arrows close. 

"The tracks are leading to a hollowed out tree.  I've been there a few times.  And I smell other Night Elves there too.  Come on." Barnabas said as he ushered her to follow.

Monica smiled as she followed Barnabas. "I might see my daddy..." 

"The Demon Hunter?  I have more faith in seeing your uncle than him.  But it will be nice to meet more of your people." Barnabas commented.

Monica silently nodded as they went in. Then she found herself lost with unknown faces. So she held on to Barnabas's paw. 

Barnabas looked around.  He was curious about the three pools of water guarded by a druid each.  What could they be for?  But then, he saw his father, also in Worgen form.  He was giving orders to several of his scouts.
"Father.  Finally." Barnabas went to his father's side to hug him.  Darius was happy to see his son and hugged him back.
"My son, it's good to see you.  Who's your friend there?" Darius asked, having noticed Monica.
