History: Belle was one of many Nereids in the ocean. However, one day while relaxing in a secluded area during the eighteenth century, she and her family were attacked by pirates. Belle was the only Nereid captured by them, being incased in a glass coffin. However, before she could be sold, she escaped by giving up her oceanic form and using her water manipulation to break the glass and escape. The first place she found was the Academy, where she knew she could hide and fit in.
