Art of Words (Tag: Students)

Dante was sitting in his class, waiting for somebody to come in and at least take a seat. He began to look at the book and read it again. This time he was reading Poe. He waited.

"Professor Donovan?" Belle chirped, poking her head in. She had coem early after leaving the art class; sitting near the Unseelie had made her uncomfortable, and seeing a friendlier face made her feel more at ease. Seeing he was reading Poe, Belle decided it best to sit in the front. hoping others would show.

It looked like Jasmine was on time for once. She smiled, glad to be punctual. She was always late the first couple of days of school. Getting used to her new schedule always took a while. But she usually got the hang of it eventually. She smiled at Belle as she sat next to her. She had never taken a creative writing class before, and she was interested in what would happen.

"Hey Jaz," Belle said with a smile. A friendly face was what she needed. Sure she and Meg exchanged some kind words in the art room, but Jasmine was someone Belle was more comfortable around. "So, how was your last class?" She held up her paint-covered hands sheepishly

Dante looked up and saw that Belle and her friend joined his class. "Please have a seat, both of you."

"Thank you, Professor Donovan." Belle plopped in the first seat she saw, saving the next seat fo Jasmine. Hopefully Ariel would come in to join them.

Jasmine gave a little nod and moved to sit near Belle. She hoped more people would show up soon. Sure, she had Belle with her, but the class would be a bit dead if they were the only students who signed up.

Dimitri rubbed his hands together eagerly as he made his way towards the Creative Writing classroom. He had been looking forward to this class, along with drama, and hoped it would live up to his expectations. Once he arrived, he raised his eyebrows. He had expected more people. He noticed Jasmine and her friend, with the teacher and an empty classroom. "Is this it?" he asked in surprise and walked over, taking a seat next to Jasmine.

Dante looked at his three students. "Welcome to creative writing. First of all I would prefer if we begin by each of you taking a dream orb. This will allow me to see your inner most dream and what your imagination is capable of. Then we will begin your first lesson." He said as he placed out a small box containing the orbs ontop of his desk.

Interesting method of teaching us creativity, Belle thought. But, she looked at the crystal orb, noticing nothing really dangerous about it. "Anywhere in particular you want us to put these?" Belle asked, eager to please her arguably favorite teacher at ths point.

"Dream orb, huh?" Jasmine had never seen one before, but she figured they couldn't be too bad if Dante was handing them out. She took one in her hand, balancing it on her palm as she made her way back to her seat. "I guess we...just concentrate on these things until something pops up?" she asked, wondering how long that would take. Jasmine wasn't the most patient person in the world.

Dante looked at Belle. "Just concentrate on a dream. I know that this method will seem unorthodox, but your imagination as well as writing habits will be counted in the grading process." he explained. Then he looked at Jasmine. "That is correct."

Belle nodded, having a better understanding of what Dante wanted. She set the bauble on her desk, pen on her pad. Suddenly, the bauble started shifting colors. It would be a while until a pure image would be shown, but if the moon took forever to have a strong tide, then so be it.

Jasmine shrugged, then peered at her crystal orb thing. But when no images showed up, she started getting impatient. "I think mine's broken," she complained, shaking it up and down as if it were a magic 8 ball.

Rahim opened the door and walked into the classroom, a little nervously.  He was late and he knew it.  He just hoped that he wasn't so late that he was going to be disruptive.
"Pardon me for being late.  I got a little lossst on my way here." Rahim apologized to the class.
